SHOMARI CHRYZO, whose real name is Assani Jean-Chrysostome Shomari is a singer, songwriter and gospel performer from Burundi, who is from Congo (DRC) born on February 07, 1998 in Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi, in a Christian family, his father SHOMARI DIEUDONNÉ Pastor and Professor and his mother Amunazo Kasinde Visionary of the Patmos International church in Bujumbura.

The eldest son of a family of eight children, including three girls and five boys, Chryzo took up piano, guitar and drums at an early age and started playing in church respectively.
SHOMARI CHRYZO apart from music he is a civil engineer, he studied in Bujumbura at the Hope of Africa University in the faculty of engineering and technology in the department of Civil Engineering.
