So many times I pray for healing
So many times I cry to be made whole
I look at all the broken pieces
And wonder what could be the reason

Sometimes the meaning of the breaking
Sometimes the purpose of the hurt and pain
Is a Father’s love and mercy
Though His child may be hurting
There is a master plan that only He can see
And in the greatness of His love for me

He sees beyond the questions of this moment
He sees beyond the fear of the unknown
And like the box of alabaster
That was broken for the Master
He knows what will come when I am undone
Will be beautiful

And now, even though the tears may fall
The prayer I pray and I want above all
Like the loaves and fishes in His hand
That were broken for the needs of men
May my life be used to serve the lost
If that is what it takes, no matter what the cost
