Mighty Salim (February 27, 1980 – January 24, 2021), real name Timothy Njuguna Salim was a Kenyan mugithi artist. He was born in 27 February 1980 to mother Wangari Wa Salim and father Joseph Salim Mwangi in Subukia, Nakuru County. He was the 4th born in a family of 8 children. He is a brother to Salim Junior (who passed away in 2016), Naomi Salim, Sarafina Salim and Salim Young. He comes from a music family. Mighty Salim and Salim Junior were among the top pioneers of one-man guitar artists in Kenya. Mighty Salim’s popular songs include "Hamwe na Mwathani", "Jira Dukadiga", "Ihoya Riakwa", "Kana Gakwa", "My Sister" and many more. May Mighty Salim’s soul rest in eternal peace.
